China Shipping Agent (Forwarding) Guide

You buy it overseas — we receive it at our China warehouse, consolidate your packages, and ship everything to your door in Korea. Here is exactly how forwarding works.

What is a Shipping Agent (Forwarding)?

When you buy from overseas online stores, delivery is normally only available to a local address in that country. A shipping-agent (forwarding) service solves this: we give you a China warehouse address to use as your delivery destination. Once your items arrive at our warehouse, we consolidate them and forward everything to your door in Korea.

Forwarding differs from a purchasing agent. With a purchasing agent we buy the product on your behalf from Chinese platforms like Taobao or 1688. With forwarding you purchase the product yourself — from any overseas store — and simply use our China warehouse as the shipping address; we then forward it to Korea.

The warehouse address is provided after registration (via KakaoTalk or email) and varies by shipment type. Always enter your name and order number in the recipient field so we can match your parcel, and use the address only for shipping-agent orders.

How forwarding works (8 steps)

The entire process takes approximately 7–14 business days from the time your item arrives at our warehouse to your door in Korea.

1

Purchase from an overseas online store

Check out on any platform — Taobao, Tmall, 1688, JD.com, Pinduoduo, Shein or any international retailer — and enter our China warehouse address instead of your Korean address. Include your name and order reference in the recipient field so we can identify your parcel.

2

Submit your shipping-agent application

After ordering, click the [Shipping Agent Apply] button on our site and enter the product name, quantity, unit price and the seller's local tracking number. Registration is required so we can match your incoming parcel to your account, and multiple items can be registered under one application for consolidation.

3

Goods arrive at our China warehouse

Once the seller dispatches your order, the parcel arrives at our China logistics centre where we inspect it for visible damage and log it against your account. You are notified at check-in, and multiple parcels can wait in the warehouse until you are ready to consolidate.

4

Request forwarding — bundle multiple parcels

Once all expected items have arrived, click [Request Shipping] for each item or select several for consolidation. Bundling packages into one shipment significantly reduces shipping cost, and you can specify repackaging or reinforcement requests at this stage.

5

Weighing, measurement & shipping-fee payment

After consolidation we weigh and measure the parcel. The fee is based on the actual weight or the volumetric weight — whichever is greater — multiplied by the applicable rate. Volumetric weight = (L × W × H in cm) ÷ 5,000. Pay the invoice to proceed.

6

Dispatch from the China warehouse

Once payment is confirmed we dispatch your consolidated package and issue an international tracking number. Dispatch is typically within 1–2 business days of payment confirmation, via your selected carrier (EMS, DHL, or sea freight).

7

International shipping & Korean customs clearance

Your shipment travels from China to Korea via the chosen carrier and clears Korean customs on arrival. Your personal customs clearance code is required, and goods with a declared value under KRW 150,000 are generally duty-free (personal import).

8

Domestic delivery to your door in Korea

After clearance the parcel is handed to a Korean domestic courier (CJ Logistics, Lotte, Hanjin, etc.) and delivered to the address you provided. A domestic tracking number is available once handed off, typically 1–3 business days after clearance.

Consolidation & repacking options

  • Consolidation: combine multiple parcels into one shipment to save significantly on international shipping fees.
  • Optional services: bubble wrap, box reinforcement and vacuum packing can be requested at the forwarding step.
  • Insurance and additional service fees are added to your shipping invoice.
  • Estimated turnaround: about 7–14 business days from warehouse receipt to your door (air express available for faster delivery).

All personal imports to Korea require your 개인통관고유부호 (Personal Customs Clearance Code). Without it your shipment cannot clear Korean customs. You can obtain it for free at Customs.go.kr or through the KakaoTalk 간편인증 service.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long can my items stay in the warehouse?
Multiple parcels can wait in the warehouse until you are ready to consolidate, so you can let orders from several stores arrive and then ship them together in one consolidated shipment. Contact us via KakaoTalk or email about long-term storage.
How much does consolidation save?
Bundling several packages into one shipment significantly reduces international shipping fees. Because the fee uses the greater of actual or volumetric weight, combining parcels into one optimized box cuts wasted volume and weight.
How is the shipping fee calculated?
After consolidation we weigh and measure the parcel, then charge on the greater of the actual weight or the volumetric weight (L × W × H in cm ÷ 5,000) times the applicable rate. Insurance and any requested add-on services are included on the same invoice.
Do I need a personal customs clearance code to use forwarding?
Yes. Every personal import into Korea requires a personal customs clearance code, without which the shipment cannot clear customs. Issue it for free on the Korea Customs portal and enter it on your shipping-agent application.
